Global Report on Terrorism: Mexico section
The U.S. Department of State published its Country Reports on Terrorism. It states that there is no reason to believe there are terrorist organizations operating in Mexican territory. However, it warns that rising violence in Mexico, especially along the U.S. border, could give terrorists opportunities to slip into the U.S. among the chaos, confusion and vacuum of power.
